Senior Systems Test Engineer Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the company develops and delivers robust power electronic units to the customers.
As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will take the lead in a wide variety of R&D and V&V test activities to support new product introduction and sub-system testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Review and constructive feedback of system requirements
Reliability and robustness testing
Customer validation testing, such as testing the interaction of the products with customer equipment
Automating test execution
Managing data, configuration details and results in a highly organised manner
Writing detailed technical test reports
Supporting with impact analysis during change management process
Participating in knowledge sharing activities contributing to your own and others professional development.
Senior Systems Test Engineer Requirements
You will be expected to have significant demonstrable experience in design, build and commissioning of test rigs and facilities, and will be experienced in sourcing and integrating measurement technologies.
They are looking for an individual with a hands-on approach, a flexible can-do attitude, and who is constantly looking for ways to optimise test capability and methods.
Someone who can ensure that the company develops and delivers robust power electronic units to its customers.
Your activities may span more than one project.
Knowledge and experience with ASPICE and ISO26262 (or similar) would be an advantage.
You will need to be proficient and comfortable working directly with customers and partners.
Senior Systems Test Engineer Qualifications
Engineering Degree: BSc (Hons) minimum 2:1. Professional experience demonstrating equivalent competence in the discipline may be acceptable
A minimum of five years working within a similar role, ideally in control or power electronics
Working knowledge of test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, power analysers, spectrum analysers).
Other Senior Systems Test Engineer advantageous skills
Background in controls, software or electronics
Experience of system level product integration (such as whole vehicle)
Knowledge of EMC and environmental standards, and applicable tests.
